My art practice exists somewhere between image and instinct.

I work across mixed media, photography, digital processes, drawing, cyanotype and other materials, often layering photographic imagery, mark-making, texture and symbolism.

Nature is a recurring presence.

So are women, animals, dreams, mythology, memory and the subconscious.

I’m interested in what happens when an image becomes more than an image – when it begins to carry a feeling, a memory or a question.

My work is intuitive in its beginnings, but deeply considered in its making.

I often begin without knowing exactly where a piece is going.

The process itself becomes a way of discovering what wants to emerge.

Photography is my first love. Light is my muse.

That relationship with light continues to underpin everything I make, even when the camera is no longer involved.
